Beating The Odds

When people think about the maths of sport, they are usually thinking of statistics. But there is real maths in sport too – from the best position for placing a rugby ball for taking a conversion, to deciding the best number of teams to relegate from a league and the tactics for serving a tennis ball. This talk is about the *real* maths of sport. Suitable for sixth formers and above ... and for younger pupils who are decent at maths and are sports fans.
